WHY IS THE AIR CONDITIONER LEAKING IN THE ROOM?
This happens if the condensation tray is overfilled. There may be several reasons: - If the system has been operating at full capacity for a long time, the water does not have time to leave. Freezing of the indoor unit Heat Exchanger leads to the formation of a large amount of water.
The most common cause of freezing is Freon leakage. - Clogged drainage system. If the filters are not washed regularly, dirt will enter the Heat Exchanger and clog the drain. Heavy dust particles settle to the bottom of the condensate tray and can block the drain inlet or get into the hose.
- For air conditioners equipped with a drainage pump, the reason may be its failure. - If a new air conditioner starts to leak, most likely the drain hose has been laid without a proper slope, which makes it difficult for the produced condensate to escape to the street.
